Today's post is rather random. I've been paying attention to gas prices at various gas stations around town. The gas station I've always heard has the lowest prices (corner of Union + Lake) was not actually the cheapest, but it did beat the median sample by around 10 cents/gallon. The cheapest was about 20 cents/gallon cheaper than the median - just across from Borders on Lake. Most other gas stations in Pasadena were all at the same prices ~ 3.27$ per gallon, so that was easily the median sample. I just found it odd that there were two fairly extreme outliers.
Other cities had different prices, though not by much: Glendale was right around 3.27, but I did see one station there that was 10 cents cheaper.
Anyways... gas prices are odd, even on a local scale.
